My Piece for the 2012 Christmas, and my first finish of 2013.
A design by my beloved friend Colly of Cols Creations. I did a slight change and made the charted crosses in the first band into stars, as I'm not the religious type. I also used the DMC threads I had in my stash instead of the Anchor ones that the chart called for, but I still think it turned out very nice. This pic is pre-wash & iron, but you get the idea.

New UFO piece

This is Blackwork Chessboard. It's a design by Anne MacGregor from the stitch mag "Cross Stitch Gold". In the original design there's black and gold metallic in all the squares, but I wilm stick to black in the squares and consider adding another metallic colour around them when I'm done. Seems more clean to me.
