Wedding Day - Ring Pillow
This is the piece that I stitched as a ring pillow for Sarah and Adams wedding. It's based on the Wedding Day design by Colly of Col's Creations, but with a few changes following the brides wishes. Very enjoyable, but as always I finished it no earlier than I had to.

I bought these kits at Hobbycraft this summer, and I did them as light relief during the Christmas break. They were quite fun to do, but the splitting of the mosaic "tiles" were a nuisance, so I doubt I'll do any more.

I've had a bit of groove on the go lately, and here are my finishes:

Rosie
A DMC design in the RSPCA series Perfect pets. I've had this in my stash for years, and finally just fancied getting it done.

Tea for two. Design from one of the British stitching mags. There is supposed to be some small flowers in the background and also some writing on it, but I prefered it clean like this.

Lavender pouches. Made these up on the go so to speak.

These cones are of my own invention. I love the red and white together, and the hearts of course!

Patch Star
This is something new I tried - and really liked doing. Will do more of these

Snowflake

I finally got around to doing this. It's actually a snowflake I made up to go on my friends ringpillow.

I used:
DMC White no. 8 Perle for the kloster blocks
E317 for the straight stitches
Mill Hill 40210 beads - floating beads and trimming on the side
Silver Japan Thread to make the beads "float"

ACN Kingsclere Ornie

Made as a memento after the Kingsclere meet-up in April. The hedgehog is because we saw one when taking group photos. The frame and writing is copied after Colly's meet-up chart last year.

This is the chart if anyone fancies it (without the frame). I just realised I messed up the charting a bit in that I used a circle for one of the colours as well as marking french knots, the nose and the circles on the writing is french knots though - as you probably guessed. I used long stitches for the spikes.

A Hummel design. Some of the colour choices in this piece were a bit odd in my opinion, so I did change some of the ones I really didn't like, especially the wings that were pretty strange in red. UFO night finish. 13th May 2010.
